of our core values lies in our strong belief that translation is not a
conversion of mere language but of culture as well. As the saying goes,
you can never translate ‘words’, only ‘ideas’. Hence
the best translation work comes only from NATIVE speakers with certain
expertise and solid hands-on experience. When it comes to website localization,
for example, in terms of up-to-date colloquial Chinese expressions, a
Chinese translator who has been residing in the U.S. for a couple of years
may not be as proficient as a local Chinese professional. Even for the
Chinese written language, there is a significant difference between the
simplified form (used in mainland China) and the traditional form (used
in Taiwan & Hong Kong), each having habitually-used terms and expressions
peculiar to its dialect. Therefore, we ONLY employ native professional
translators.
